Sonoma County Museum Conklin

This visual art gallery in the heart of Santa Rosa is the first phase of a larger expansion plan for the Sonoma County Museum and a major step toward the Museum’s differentiation of art and history into two separate museum buildings. The large glazed garage door and the skylight openings bring natural light into the gallery, transforming the existing warehouse structure into a flexible exhibition space for California art from the nineteen-century to the present. The exterior of the museum features local artist’s work, including Ned Khan’s Erratic Fence.
